'Changemakers' is the theme of #FWF24. Why?

Changemakers are the catalysts of progress in every facet of life.

They are the individuals who dare to dream and who don’t just sit on the sidelines but do something about it.

Football in Australia is no different. Despite everything, football endures.

Why? Because individuals committed to making things happen and those who want to make a difference have always been pushing, prodding, and shaping it.

Where some people see problems and just give up, changemakers are innovators, activists, champions, and leaders. They inform, educate, inspire and, most importantly, get things done.

This year’s Football Writers’ Festival celebrates 50 years of changemakers in our game.
