Is there a COVIDSafe plan?

We will follow the latest COVIDSafe guidelines issued by the NSW Government for public gatherings and for pubs and community halls. We are planning on the basis of having most of the sessions at the Jamberoo School of Arts which is a bigger venue than the Jamberoo Pub. We may accommodate smaller group sessions at the Pub, and we will definitely have the Legends Happy Hour in the Beer Garden of the Pub. The venue will only change if more restrictive COVIDSafe guidelines are introduced, and the venue no longer complies with NSW Government requirements.



Do I need to buy tickets?

Yes, you do. As part of the COVIDSafe requirements, all attendees must be ticketed. We recommend you purchase your tickets beforehand for the Oration, the photo exhibition and the Football Writers' Festival.



Are there any extra costs?

You will need to pay for your own food and alcohol/soft drinks, other than provided morning/afternoon tea breaks and the complimentary drink on arrival on the Friday evening.



What do I do when I get there?

Please register your attendance at the registration desk at the Jamberoo School of Arts.



Will I get a chance to ask any questions of the guests?

Yes! As well as the breaks, each session will also include the opportunity for questions from the floor - no exceptions. We only ask that you say who you are, refrain from profanity, and are courteous at all times.



Is there a program?

The 2021 program is still being finalised. Its finalisation will be subject to travel restrictions for interstate speakers/moderators. It will be published on this website and also in our App.



Can we record sessions?

No. Please do not record or video a session. Please do not take photographs unless the individual(s) agree otherwise. There will be a podcast available after the Festival via Fair Play Publishing.



Is there a hashtag?

Of course! #FWF21



Do I need to book accommodation?

Yes you do. Please visit our Accommodation page and note also our direct link to hotel offers via Wotif. We recommend you make a (refundable) reservation as soon as possible as it is a long weekend.



Can we buy any books?

Yes! We will have copies of books published by Fair Play Publishing and other publishers.​ Contactless payment is preferred and credit/debit card facilities are available.
